Simon Murgatroyd Alan Ayckbourn's Archivist & Professional Writer

Research Assistance

One of the primary aspects of the role of Archivist is to handle research enquiries regarding Alan Ayckbourn, his plays and career. The majority of these are individual enquiries by individuals researching, studying or just interested in Alan Ayckbourn and his plays.

I've also been involved with a number of larger research projects and this page contains examples of some of the projects I have had the privilege of being involved with or offering research assistance to over the years.

A significant aspect of my work is assisting with research enquiries into Alan Ayckbourn, his plays and the Stephen Joseph Theatre. As a result, I've worked with theatres, television companies, museums and academics amongst others assisting with research. This page contains examples of some of my contributions to media research, productions and events related to Alan and the SJT.
