Simon Murgatroyd Alan Ayckbourn's Archivist & Professional Writer

Alan Ayckbourn's Media Administrator & Social Media

As Alan Ayckbourn's Media Administrator since 2017, I'm responsible for handling press and media enquiries relating to the playwright and director. I also handle his social media accounts (Twitter, YouTube and WordPress) and run a Press & Media Centre at the playwright's official website.

Press & Media Enquiries

If you have a press enquiry or query regarding Alan Ayckbourn, I can generally be contacted on Mondays to Thursdays between 9am and 3pm (with the exception of 22 December to 3 January). My email is: press@alanayckbourn.net.

Further details can be found in the
Press & Media Centre at Alan Ayckbourn's Official Website.

If your enquiry is specifically related to a forthcoming production of an Ayckbourn play, please do not contact me and follow the guidelines below.

Current & Forthcoming Production Enquiries

Enquiries about specific forthcoming Ayckbourn productions should be directed to the specific theatre concerned (such as the Stephen Joseph Theatre) or, in the case of West End productions, the show producer.

The Stephen Joseph Theatre

Please do not contact the Stephen Joseph Theatre with general enquiries relating to Alan Ayckbourn as the SJT Press Officer will not be able to help and will only direct you back to me

The SJT press department only deals with Ayckbourn enquiries directly relating to the playwright's forthcoming productions at the venue. Please note, Alan Ayckbourn is now just a guest director at the theatre and is not present at the venue except during production weeks for his own plays.

Press Releases

Press releases about Alan Ayckbourn's productions and events / news concerning the playwright can be found on Alan Ayckbourn's Official Website via this page. Individual press releases have the relevant contact details for all press / media contacts.

Social Media

I am responsible for handling the official Ayckbourn social media accounts on YouTube, WordPress and Twitter.
For the
YouTube channel, I also regularly create original filmed material relating to the playwright, his career and plays.
The
WordPress blog features regular original articles as well as material drawn from the Ayckbourn Archive by or relating to Alan Ayckbourn.
